CONGRATULATIONS  to Rebekah Wright-Kulis who had the winning online bid for “Killarny Skies”  by 2011 Featured Artist Ben Bassham.

Saturday, September 10, 2011 !     What a wonderful night!

Intermittent rain showers could not dampen the spirits of the 250 guests who gathered at the exquisite Sugar Bush Knolls home of Janet and David Dix.

Live jazz music drifted from the balcony over the grounds; while inside David Dix shared his talents on the piano.  The signature Right at Home Art Auction included two pieces by 2011 Featured Artist Ben Bassham. Other local artists donated 40 pieces of art for the cause. Among the artists were Jance Lentz Hatch (2010 Featured Artist), Carole Keller, Frederick John Kluth, Edwin George, Gingr Vaughn and Robert E. Wood.  The auction packages featured an Acorn Alley Basket donated by Ron Burbick that was filled with items and certificates from all of the Acorn Alley businesses including ones that will open soon.    Also in the mix, a one-week stay at Joanne and Ernest Smerdon’s Mazatlan condo, a “Great Gatsby” theme party for 12 at the home of Patty and Jay Falls, two Kent State baskets, a two night stay and dinner at The Hiram Inn, Rookwood tiles and pottery donated by Pam and Dave Wilson and a White Coat Experience at Robinson Memorial Hospital.  Guests could purchase mystery bottles from the Wall of Wine and buy Treasure Chest keys for a chance to win one of two treasures, a beautiful Larimar necklace and earrings donated by Joan Conaway and a white gold ring donated by Mike Bakes.  The winner of the necklace was Lynne Fisher and the ring was won by Betsy Mangin.  The Rusty Nail of Twin Lakes catered the event.

In appreciation for their hospitality, Coleman Professional Services CEO Nelson Burns presented the Dix family with a wine basket from Riverside Wine and  Imports.Coleman Foundation is grateful for the support of Elite Partners; Allen Aircraft Products, Bennett Land Title Agency, Nelson and Suzanne Burns, The Campus of Anna Maria of Aurora, Don Joseph Toyota/Scion, Fife Industrial Distribution and Hall Green Agency; and sponsors The Burbick Foundation, the Fowler Family, McKay Bricker Gallery & Framing, and over 40 other businesses and individuals.   See the Sponsor Tab for a complete list of donors.
